Web Design of the shelf, offer a template solution to web design. You however have the ability to change the template online.

As you make each change, you see the page change online. So you see the layout before you pay any money.

Web Design off the Shelf, enables you to create a unique site by customizing any of the templates on this site.

You choose background colours, text colours and font sizes on the various screen areas. Enter the page headings you want and select your own site logo(s) from your pictures on your hard disk if you wish. You can even change the width size of a page on some templates.

Its not difficult to use. Each template has a large help section just click on the description beside the control buttons for more information.

The help information shows how to change the template and the strengths and weakness's of that particular template. Press the reset button if you want to set the page back to its default values.

If you like what you have created just submit the form. That together with your content supplied in the form of word documents or text files. Allows the software (with some human help) to generate a small interconnected web site in an hour.

As well as a quick turnaround, being quick without to much human intervention, makes it good value and less prone to bugs. I would say that though so judge for yourself!

Costs are £15 (UK) per 20 minute slot of our time. Typically a 15 page site for £60, a 9 page site for £45 or 6 page site for £35.

We only quote more if you have asked for extra customization beyond what the template allows.

Ask for a £5 reduction if we can put a small text link back to our site at the bottom of your home page, the link can be to either this site or to our sister site.

What We Need From You.

What we need from you is the content. That is text and images you wish included on the page. The simplest form is a word document with one document sent for each page needed.

What Happens Next?

If you decide to go ahead we take payment: In cheque form in UK pounds drawn from a UK Bank or by direct electronic transfer of funds. VAT is already including in all prices.

Your site will be ready within one working day or within one working day after cheque clearance where applicable.

Web Hosting.

This includes web space, bandwidth used, one '.co.uk' domain name and multiple e-mail addresses.

What Are The Potential Problems?

If something does go wrong however, its not a take it or leave it option after we complete a web site.

While we will not re-write the entire site. We will make minor changes to both layout and content if you contact us within 7 days of completion and specify the problem.

Most of the site layout is controlled by cascading style sheets, this makes some site wide changes very simple.
